Did you grow up in a cooking family? 👉 Yes, my mom and my dad are great cooks. Not professionally trained chefs but absolutely incredible cooks. Who influenced your cooking the most? 👉 Firstly, my family at home, and then my senior chefs at work. My earliest mentor, Chef Sanad, was my instructor at the Culinary Institute. During my studies, he helped me land my first internship and job, the kitchen night-shift at the Semiramis Hotel, the oldest 5-star hotel in Damascus at the time. Which spice is underrated? 👉 Cardamom. Hobbies and interests outside of cooking? 👉 I love to play judo and soccer. I’m also a car fanatic and enjoy rock music. What’s the best part about being a chef? 👉 Mixing ingredients and flavors to create magic.
