Welcome to the MSHS official Pharmacy Technician page. The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) Pharmacy Technician Training Program aims to train qualified applicants to become certified and registered pharmacy technicians. Courses will introduce pharmacy concepts and the profession. Simulated labs provide real-world opportunities to get hands-on experience with pharmacy technology and develop the skills needed to be a successful technician. The online didactic portion of the course integrates narrated lectures, pacing questions, digital animations, and interactive assessments. The program is recognized by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) as an approved training site and is currently a candidate for accreditation by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). Admission Requirements for the training program Be 18 years of age or older by the program start date Be a high school graduate or have a high school equivalency certificate (GED) Up to date Immunization records as required by Mount Sinai Health System One professional reference Pass a basic Mathematics and Reading Comprehension Assessment A 500-word personal statement on the reason(s) and goal(s) for pursuing Pharmacy Technician Training. Program Metrics 100% passing rate on the final exam All program graduates have passed the PTCB exams, exceeding the national average. Program Cost The cost of attending the training program is $1,850
