WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!! Congratulations to the Philadelphia / Delaware Valley Chapter for securing the top spot in our Wreaths Across America Chapter Challenge sponsoring 144 wreaths to be placed on veterans' headstones at national military cemeteries on National Wreaths Across America Day, December 14, 2024. In total, PMTA members and friends sponsored 507 wreaths landing us tied for second place among the other state trucking associations with the NEW JERSEY MOTOR TRUCK ASSOCIATION. Let's get them next year! Wreaths Across America is an incredible cause, and we're blown away by the support this year - from member companies hauling wreaths to folks letting us know they'll be volunteering to lay wreaths on December 14. The competition for 2025 starts NOW! If you haven't donated yet this year, but would still like to ahead of Wreaths Across America Day, giving through PMTA's link will help get your chapter ahead for 2025. Link below! Wreaths Across America CHAPTER CHALLENGE UPDATE!!! This year, PMTA's chapters are competing to see which can sponsor the most wreaths for National Wreaths Across America Day 2024. The competition has been fierce, and the cut off date to give for 2024 is TOMORROW - December 3, 2024 - GIVING TUESDAY! There isn't a more prefect day to send last minute donations to this important cause. With each wreath sponsored, a wreath will be placed to honor an American hero at veterans' cemeteries across the country. Including, Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in our backyard. Right now, the Philadelphia/Delaware Valley Chapter is in the lead with 122 wreaths purchased! But, is that enough to secure first place? Get your last minute donations in, using PMTA's link, and we'll update with the final tally soon.

Join PMTA's Breaking Ground for a holiday event celebrating and empowering women in the trucking industry. We’re bringing together women truck drivers, fleet owners, industry leaders and advocates to highlight the invaluable contributions of women in this traditionally male-dominated industry. This will be a casual networking event with some holiday flair! Feel free to wear your ugly Christmas sweaters/holiday sweaters. We will be hosting an Ornament Swap! Bring a new, wrapped ornament to participate and receive a new one to take home. Plus, make sure you save room for dessert! If you'd like, bring Christmas cookies or another holiday dessert to share with the group. PMTA will provide appetizers and drinks. Members and non-members are able to attend. Please spread the word to your company's drivers and other staff. Please register on the PMTA website.

CHAPTER CHALLENGE!!! Each year, the State Trucking Associations compete to see which can sell the most wreaths for Wreaths Across America. With each sponsorship made, a wreath will be placed to honor an American hero at veterans' cemeteries on National Wreaths Across America Day. This year, PMTA is launching a CHAPTER CHALLENGE! Any wreaths purchased before the 2024 cutoff of December 3, 2024, through PMTA's link (in the comments), will be attributed to a chapter's total wreath count. Right now, our smallest and largest chapters are competing for first place! Both South Central and Northwest have sponsored 16 wreaths. Help PMTA show Pennsylvania cares for veterans by sponsoring a wreath this holiday season!

It's time to hedge your bets and practice your poker face! PMTA's South Central Chapter is going all in with a Monte Carlo Chapter Kickoff Event. You're invited to join the chapter for a night of casino games, food, drinks and entertainment. Each year, PennDOT gives PMTA Members the latest information regarding Winter Weather Restrictions in an hour-long webinar. PennDOT staff will walk attendees through winter weather restriction information and highlight changes for the upcoming season. There will be time for questions at the end. This webinar is free and open to members and non-members. Please join us!
