Paine Schwartz Partners recently held its second annual Women’s Opportunity Workshop at Dartmouth College as part of our firm commitment to the Women's Awareness Initiative ("WAI"). The intent of the workshop was to bridge the gender diversity gap in the asset management industry by exposing undergraduate women to career possibilities in the sector. The team provided an overview of where private equity fits into the overall asset management landscape, how private equity firms operate, various career paths within private equity, and best practices for interviewing and networking. Paine Schwartz Partners was recently awarded the Gary Sinise Community Service Award at the Hope For The Warriors® "Got Heart, Give Hope" awards ceremony. We are incredibly honored to be among the many other selfless people and organizations that have received this award before us.   Our goal in creating the “No Obstacles: A Race For The Warriors” Spartan Race was to tear down the barriers to care and resources that exist for many of our military veterans and their families. Together with our amazing partners, sponsors, and PSP family, we have raised over $2.5 million ($1.2 million from this year’s event) for HOPE in the last three years, and we are dedicated to continuing to support their mission until there are NO OBSTACLES in the way of quality care for veterans.   Thank you to Robin Kelleher and the amazing team at Hope For The Warriors® for humbling us with this award, but importantly for all the work they do in making a real-world impact on the lives of our military community. 

We are pleased to share that Paine Schwartz Partners portfolio company, Lyons Magnus, has successfully completed the acquisition of Hormel Health Labs, forming Lyons Health Labs which comprises Hormel Health Labs and Lyons Magnus’ nutrition and health businesses. The newly established business unit will position Lyons to be a leader in nutritional and healthy products for the healthcare market and continue to drive opportunities for growth.

Hypor, the swine division of Hendrix Genetics, will merge with Danish Genetics, marking the establishment of a significant strategic partnership aimed at enhancing their collective position in the global swine genetics market and unlocking new opportunities to provide sustainable, high-quality solutions to pig producers worldwide. Last week on September 27, Paine Schwartz Partners hosted our third annual “No Obstacles: A Race for the Warriors” event to benefit Hope For The Warriors®, a national nonprofit that provides resources and services to veterans and military families.   The event, which included a 5K race on Governors Island, was our biggest and best event yet, featuring an obstacle course designed and operated by Spartan interspersed throughout the race, individually timed chips, and a VIP reception. We raised over $1.2 million, the largest single event for HOPE and topping our 2023 event by ~$500k. We greatly appreciate our event sponsors, over 250 racers, and almost 20 volunteers who came out to join us as we continue to support this important cause and organization.
