📈 2024 in Review: Celebrating a Year of Achievements at Oxylus Energy! As 2024 comes to a close, Oxylus is proud to reflect on a year of significant growth, hitting key milestones, and utmost dedication to our vision of creating a circlular economy for carbon dioxide. Our mission is to decarbonize the hard-to-abate sectors of aviation, shipping, and petrochemicals -- and we are excited that this last year we are progressing on our mission. Key Highlights from 2024: 🎓 Spinout: Oxylus successfully spun-out its novel green chemistry technology for carbon conversion to green fuel from Yale University with the help of Yale Ventures. 💲 Raising our Seed: Oxylus successfully raised an over-subscribed $4.5M Seed financing round co-led by Toyota Ventures and Azolla Ventures. Additional participating investors include Earth Foundry and Connecticut Innovations and others. 🤝 Partnerships: Oxylus joined #C2VInitiative, Creative Destruction Lab, Texas Innovates CHILI program to work with corporates, governmental agencies, & non-profit leaders focused on #renewablecarbon, #ccus, & #carbonsolutions. Oxylus also joined Methanol Institute to advocate for #greenmethanol in the energy transition. 👥Team Growth: Oxylus Energy has also grown the team exponentially throughout 2024, including adding our first Senior Electrochemists, Jose L. Alvarez, PhD & Shaoyang Lin. 🏆 Awards: Throughout 2024 Oxylus has received numerous awards. We were awarded $300k in non-dilutive funding from U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) ENERGYWERX. The U.S. DOE Office of Technology Transitions, in collaboration with the Offices of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED), Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management | U.S. Department of Energy, and Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), previously announced that over 170 companies, tribes, and local governments will receive support to advance commercialization of clean energy technologies in the form of in-kind DOE-funded vouchers. The #VoucherProgram is designed to grant small businesses, local governments, and other non-traditional partners access to the vetted resources and expertise they need to bring their clean energy technologies and projects to the next level.
