We’re proud that the Sandra Atlas Bass Heart Hospital (SABHH) – part of the Northwell Cardiovascular Institute – was recognized by the US Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for having the nation’s highest survival rates for coronary artery bypass graft surgery. 🫀 This accolade solidifies SABHH as the No. 1 destination in the country for heart surgery and further reinforces its status as a safe haven for patients seeking life-saving care close to home. Shoutout to the cardiac cath lab team at Lenox Hill Hospital, led by director Dr. Michael Kim, on using the newly FDA-approved drug-coated balloon procedure. As part of a new method to treat coronary artery disease, the procedure uses a balloon to help deliver drugs directly to affected coronary arteries.
