  • Noble and PETRONAS Suriname E&P B.V. have entered into an agreement for the high-specification semisubmersible rig Noble Developer to drill three wells offshore Suriname. The contract is expected to commence around June 2025, with an estimated duration of 200 days. The firm contract value is approximately $84 million including additional services provided, mobilization and demobilization fees. The parties have further agreed to add a one-well option to the contract. “We are excited to extend our partnership with PETRONAS in Suriname through this agreement for the Noble Developer. The Developer has previously operated for PETRONAS in Suriname, and we look forward to getting the rig back to work in mid-2025,” says Blake Denton, SVP of Marketing & Contracts. The Noble Developer is currently available and located offshore Trinidad and Tobago. Preparations for the upcoming PETRONAS work scope are set to commence immediately.

  • What a happy moment! Noble exists because of the talent and dedication of our offshore crews. A special milestone is captured in these pictures, where Denzel Southwell signs his contract to become Noble's first Guyanese Assistant Auxiliary Driller on the drillship Noble Tom Madden (joined by Rig Manager Chris Forlizzi). Denzel says he was driven to pursue a career offshore by his curiosity and interest in new challenges. He values the chance to meet and work with people from all over the globe and stresses that mentorship is crucial for anyone pursuing a career offshore. Noble is excited about Denzel's career path, as well as the impact we're able to make through bringing professional opportunities to communities around Guyana.

  • Noble is pleased to announce a new contract with Tullow Ghana for the drillship Noble Venturer, commencing in May 2025, in direct continuation after completion of a campaign for Rhino Resources. The contract is for six firm wells (estimated to span 360 days) with total contract value of $171M. After the first two wells (~120 days), the contract will be suspended at zero rate until the end of 2025 to perform a planned SPS maintenance period including thruster replacement. After this break, the contract will resume in January 2026 for the remaining four firm wells (~240 days). The contract also includes three additional options of two wells each estimated at 120 days each. “The Noble Venturer’s return to Ghana is a clear indication of the continued trust and confidence Tullow has placed in Noble, the rig, and most importantly the crew. We’re committed to delivering exceptional performance for Tullow and continued value to the Ghanaian economy,” said Blake Denton, Noble’s SVP of Marketing and Contracts.

  • Customer: Can you move the Noble Resolve to Poland? Noble: Sure we can. Customer: Through a minefield? Noble: Hmmm. For Noble’s first drilling campaign in Poland, the 539 nautical mile journey for the Noble Resolve jackup rig from Esbjerg Denmark was full of challenges. Here are just some of the items on the to-do list of our marine operations department, supported by specialized contractors: • Time the departure from Esbjerg to coincide with a good weather window. • Pick up a pilot in the Skagerrak region of the North Sea to assist with navigating this busy shipping strait. • Transit the Drogden channel near the Copenhagen airport, coinciding with the planned shut down of two airport runways due to proximity of the very high rig legs. • Move under tow into the Baltic Sea and south to Poland. • Once near the very shallow shores of Wolin, avoid touching the seabed where unexploded ordinance from World War II remain. • Follow careful charts guided by divers who surveyed the drilling site for any unexploded ordinance. Here is a snapshot of this circuitous but carefully mapped plan in action. Hats off to all to who worked so hard to ensure the Noble Resolve’s prompt and safe arrival in Poland!
