NASSCO shipbuilders helped raise over $3,700 and collected dozens of toys for the annual Toy Drive benefiting children at eight elementary schools in the Barrio Logan community. A special thank you to the Port of San Diego Ship Repair Association for delivering the toys, and a big shout out to Illustra Pro for partnering up with us on this wonderful day! 🙌 #toydrive #NASSCO

We were thrilled to return for our second year participating in the San Diego Bay Parade of Lights, this time celebrating the theme of Peace on Earth. Both of our tugboats, Blue Fin and Persuader, proudly sailed through the bay, shining bright with festive lights and holiday cheer. A big thank you to all who came out to support and enjoy the festivities with us! Here’s to spreading peace and joy, both on and off the water. 🚢 #sandiegobayparadeoflights #nassco

Today, we marked the keel laying ceremony for the future USNS Thurgood Marshall (T-AO 211), the seventh vessel in the U.S. Navy’s John Lewis-class fleet replenishment oiler program! 🎊 Three steel plates, bearing the initials of Ms. Cecilia Marshall, Ms. Melonie Tibbs and Ms. Alissa Kamens Marshall, were personally welded into the keel, symbolizing the ship’s enduring legacy and future service to our nation. We are grateful to the Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro, Mr. John Lighthammer and our sponsors for joining us on this momentous occasion. Thank you to all who made today possible – from our dedicated shipbuilders and skilled tradespeople to the Navy team, working together to bring this historic ship to life. #NASSCOBuilt #ThurgoodMarshall
