Specialized AI/LLMs that zero in on a single domain (e.g., QA, DevOps, Sales, PA, etc.) are the next big wave in tech, potentially being a 1000x over the traditional SaaS models. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐬𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐛𝐢𝐭 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐲): • Deep Specialization: While general LLMs are amazing, companies like Momentic show that focusing on specific tasks—like quality assurance—can provide 10x more accurate insights than broad models. • Productivity: Tools like Ceejay (YC S24) can handle email scheduling and calendar coordination autonomously. It’s not far-fetched to see similar AI “agents” for Sales, Customer Success, Social Media Management (think Telegram & Twitter for web3), Software(like Kura (YC S24)) replacing people or whole departments. The pace of AI is accelerating. If you're a founder - consider where a vertical AI agent could fit into your product roadmap. For example, instead of hiring a really good marketing person or a whole department, you can hire a software engineer who'll find a way to automate that. If you’re a professional, think about how you can adapt—either by leveraging these tools or by steering them. “AI-first” is no longer just a buzzword; it’s a blueprint for the future of work.
