A 501(c)(3) organization, Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. hosts a variety of festivals and other events and manages Summerfest, The World's Largest Music Festival, an annual 9-day music celebration that averages 900,000 attendees and began in 1968. In addition, the organization manages the operations of Henry W. Maier Festival Park, situated on a 75-acre permanent site along the shores of Lake Michigan in downtown Milwaukee. The property is the setting for a series of events, concerts and ethnic and cultural festivals that attract an average of 1.4 million patrons each year.

JUST ANNOUNCED! Following the traditional Milwaukee Juneteenth Day parade and festival on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Summerfest and Northcott Neighborhood House invite the community to celebrate music and culture at Summerfest with Juneteenth Programming. The first confirmed artists include Gary Clark Jr, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Ginuwine, Joy Oladokun, and Mike Jones at Summerfest on the evening of June 19. Summerfest will also host a special opening ceremony with Northcott Neighborhood House, celebrating Juneteenth Day with performances, remarks from representatives, and special acknowledgment of Juneteenth scholarship recipients including Mr. Juneteenth and Ms. Juneteenth. Juneteenth Day programming at Summerfest will take place across multiple festival ground stages. This is the initial announcement surrounding the details of the partnership. More information and artists, including a variety of local musicians, will be announced in 2025.
