On the 10th day of #12DaysofBroadband we reflect on Hurricane Helene’s impact in the western part of the state and how MCNC was instrumental in bringing connectivity back to those communities while still supporting ongoing recovery efforts months later. Installing fiber-optic infrastructure has always been a challenge in Western North Carolina due to its unique geography and mountainous terrain; repairing it fast in the midst of devastation is a whole new level. NCTNA, joined by our integrated services provider, MCNC, visited with our friends at Novant Health for their yearly member check-in. Together, we provide life-saving connectivity to several Novant locations. The rapidly expanding health system currently has over 850 sites on the East Coast, many of which provide high-quality care for residents of NC. Rob Hale, the Director of Infrastructure & Communications, and INGA STREETMAN, Teleprocurement Billing Analyst at Novant, have both been great partners and are a pleasure to work with. It’s unbelievable to hear all that these two individuals manage and oversee day-to-day, but at NCTNA, we know that health systems depend on team members like Rob and Inga to provide care. Thank you for being members of NCTNA, and we look forward to many more member visits with your team.
