Truth time: Do you host a standing meeting that sometimes – honestly speaking – feels a little lackluster?     Last week’s #bitsofwisdom shared how breaking the script in your meetings is a good quality of an engaging leader – but how do you actually put that into practice?    Below are 4 suggestions to shake up the standing meeting status quo.    🎶 Make a playlist: Ahead of the meeting, ask each attendee to contribute a song for you to play as background music in the meeting later that day. You’ll find yourself with a fun jam session to get the creativity going!    🎧 Mix and remix: Every now and then, switch up the usual agenda to keep people on their toes (in a good way) so you don’t get into a routine that feels a little TOO familiar.      💬 Get to know your teammate: At the start of a meeting, start with a mental pallet cleanser question – something easy that can be answered in one or two words! It may seem a little cheesy at first, but you’ll be surprised where the conversation can go.     💗 Mini kudos: To conclude a meeting, have the team go around and say one thing that a teammate did that made their lives easier or left an impact.
