We're breaking the cycle. Every year-end, we share our IC predictions for the upcoming year. But not this year. We're breaking tradition to focus on something more valuable: the fundamental practices consistently delivering results for IC teams — no matter what year. Forget chasing trends. Build your strategy on proven principles that endure. Read our latest blog by Sara Forner Howland, PHR on building an IC function that stands the test of time. Grab the link in the comments. What feels fundamental to your IC org? #InternalComms #EmployeeExperience #EmployeeCommunication

  • Q4 is heating up and internal comms teams can play a pivotal role in guiding managers to maintain productivity while supporting their teams’ well-being. Here’s how you can help shape their messaging for a strong year-end: 🔹 Emphasize prioritization Encourage managers to clarify high-impact goals and communicate these to their teams, ensuring focus on what truly matters as the year closes. 🔹 Promote thoughtful scheduling Suggest time-blocking for deep work, with set windows for collaboration, to maintain momentum without burnout—especially with holiday schedules in play. If meetings aren't essential, recommend canceling. 🔹 Highlight regular recognition Remind managers of the value in celebrating small wins. Regular acknowledgment boosts morale and keeps teams motivated through the quarter’s demands. #InternalComms #EmployeeExperience #EmployeeCommunication

  • Are your #CoreValues still serving your business needs as you head into 2025? It might be time to reflect and reassess. Q4 is the time to take a step back and assess whether your values truly reflect your evolving #WorkplaceCulture, goals, and workforce needs. Why? Because genuine core values help your make sure your workforce is rowing in the same direction. Start by gathering feedback from different departments — ask how well your values resonate with their day-to-day work. This is your chance to recalibrate and ensure that your internal comms strategy for 2025 stays aligned with a set of values that employees believe in and champion. 🔗 Our best tips for refreshing core values: https://lnkd.in/emD63Frr -- Need help running a core values evaluation or collecting meaningful feedback? • Election season is a unique opportunity for #InternalComms teams to encourage civic engagement and support #employees in a meaningful way. Here’s how IC can make an impact: 🗳️ Share non-partisan voting resources like how to register, find voting locations, and key dates 🗓️ Promote flexible work options or offer PTO for voting to encourage participation 🕹️ Gamify voting by creating an internal space (e.g., Slack channel or intranet page) for employees to share pictures with their “I Voted” stickers 🔊 Provide leadership with messaging that encourages employees to vote and highlights the importance of civic responsibility Encouraging civic engagement during election season isn't just about voting. It's about empowering your people, building trust, and reinforcing your company’s commitment to supporting employees in multiple aspect of their lives. #InternalComms #EmployeeExperience #EmployeeCommunication

  • Hang on! Before you dive into 2025 communication planning, take stock of where you stand. Here’s a quick checklist to make sure you’re prepared: ✅ Conduct a Communication Audit Review all your 2024 messaging, engagement rates, and the effectiveness of your channels. What’s resonating with employees? What’s not? ✅ Get Employee Feedback Run a communication preferences survey to understand how your people wants to receive communication. Their input will shape your 2025 comms strategy. ✅ Analyze the Data Look for any trends and patterns in both the audit and survey results. This will highlight areas that need improvement and opportunities for growth. ✅ Align with Company Goals Ensure your communication plan supports broader company objectives. Messaging is most effective when it reinforces what leadership wants to achieve. 💡 Make this a regular process! An annual audit keeps your internal comms fresh and your finger on the pulse of what employees really want and need. -- 🤓 Need help getting started? • For company core values, we often reference Patrick Lencioni’s approach while partnering with clients. Lencioni emphasizes that core values should be authentic and truly reflect the heart of your organization — not just be a set of aspirational or overused words. (Hint: That means if your core values include “respect,” “ethics,” or “integrity,” it might be time to reevaluate. 😅) We 💙 this idea because it pushes companies to focus on core values they’re actually willing to hire and reward people over. 💡 As you assess your core values heading into 2025, ask yourself: Are these values truly guiding our decisions? If they’re not influencing and inspiring how employees operate every day, it might be time for a refresh. 🔗 Learn how we help and encourage teams and clients to refresh company core values: https://lnkd.in/gCP6XjMQ #InternalComms #EmployeeExperience #EmployeeCommunication
