  • What separates Bryan from other visionaries in this space is how open he is to being wrong. He interviews hundreds of guests on his podcasts, and will redirect his forecasts when he has more information. Bryan knows the social good insurance is and can be and wants it to be at the top of its game. Insurance Nerds is proud to sponsor this event. Whats good for Florida is likely good for the rest of the industry.

We are pumped that Bryan Falchuk, President & CEO of the Property & Liability Resource Bureau and author of The Future of Insurance, series of books, will be our KeyNote speaker for Turning The Corner - The New Normal of The Florida Insurance Marketplace Town Hall Workshop on January 22/23 in Bradenton: (event link in first comment) Bryan's presentation is entitled: Ensuring the Economic Viability of Our Industry Seating is very limited, so this Town Hall Workshop is by invite only. • Do not start 2025 by making goals! Goals are important, but only to measure whether you are getting close to the outcomes you want. For example, you may want to lose 50 pounds in 2025...but that's an arbitrary number. Most likely, what you truly want is to be healthier, stronger, and/or more aesthetic. If you lose 40 pounds, you will not have hit your goal, but your accomplishment would be noteworthy, something to build on, and most likely make you healthier, stronger, AND more aesthetic! Well done.

Monday Mindfulness & Meditation #4 Set all the goals you want for 2025... ...but be mindful of your intentions. Goal setting is a hot topic this time of year. I understand why, and I don't think setting goals is a "bad" idea. But I believe that setting intentions is going to be more impactful. Why? Goals are either achieved or they aren't. The talking heads will tell you to make them super specific, and tangible. Easy to determine if you succeeded or not. The problem is, that's really limiting. What do I mean? If you feel like you want 2025 to be the year you: 💰 Make more money 👩💼 Get a new job/promotion ⚖️ Get to a certain body weight ⏳ Make more time for a hobby, your family or a project I'd suggest your true intentions are something along the lines of: 💰 Wanting to experience wealth, or security 👩💼 Wanting to experience growth and progress ⚖️ Wanting to experience health, strength or confidence ⏳ Wanting to experience more time for Joy Goals are achieved or missed. Intentions can always be experienced. --------------------------------------------------- 2025 Intentions Meditation Practice: 3 steps: 1️⃣ 10-15 minutes in quiet stillness. 🧘🏼♂️ Close your eyes and acknowledge being present for yourself 2️⃣ Silently repeat in your mind "I truly desire..." 🔆 And simply observe what surfaces. After a few moments of acknowledgement, repeat the phrase again. 3️⃣ The KEY: 🗝️ Resist the urge to judge what surfaces. It may be genuine and it may be noise. But in reflection, you'll know with certainty which is which. ----------------------------------------------- Goals are important, and can add some fuel to our endeavors. But it's your deepest, truest, inner intentions that are what your heart truly desires. Get intimately familiar with what they are and the goals you set become tools, not benchmarks 💡 And if you're stuck, send me a note. I'm here to help with all the stuck-ness 🗝️ 🙏🏼 💙

  • Hagerty's Experts Prediction for the 2025 Collector Car Market  - Experts predict a continued rise in the value of classic collector cars, driven by increased interest and limited supply.     - Electric vehicles are becoming sought after by collectors, with an emphasis on early models that could become future classics.     - The market may see a strong performance in cars from the 1980s and 1990s as nostalgia plays a significant role in value appreciation.     - Investment in collector cars is expected to remain stable, with a growing interest in cars that are drivable rather than show-only. https://lnkd.in/e3TWaWGZ

  • 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹, 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗘𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗹𝘆: 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵’𝘀 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹 by Crystal Temple-Frawley The sudden closure of Bench Accounting has left many in the small business and bookkeeping worlds reeling. Bench, a Vancouver-based company founded in 2012, combined software automation with human bookkeepers to offer online bookkeeping services. With over $100 million in funding and 650 employees, Bench was a major player in the field, which makes its abrupt shutdown all the more shocking. It’s a bit like watching your favorite TV show get canceled mid-season with no warning—you’re left wondering what just happened and how to pick up the pieces. This development highlights an important truth: even a model combining cutting-edge technology and live bookkeepers isn’t immune to failure. While technology and human expertise together can deliver incredible value, they still depend on the stability and sustainability of the business itself. A company’s success is about more than just the tools or the people—it’s about how everything works together, backed by a strong foundation and strategic planning. In other words, you can have the best ingredients, but if the oven’s broken, your cake is still going to collapse. READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE: https://lnkd.in/eQRbMFQD

  • Mark is correct, losses shape you much more than victories. So how do you or have you been able to seek out feedback of which you know will be negative? How do you listen? Not become defensive? Process that information?

My biggest losses this year. And what I learned from them. We often celebrate wins publicly. While hiding our setbacks. Yet, defeat shapes us more profoundly than any win ever could. This year taught me that tough lesson - three times. Loss #1… …after 14 years as a trusted partner, our largest client didn't invite us to their RFP. It felt like losing a friend without getting to say goodbye. Loss #2… …we poured everything into another RFP for a similarly large long standing client relationship, only to come up short. Years of great work weren't enough. Goliath was too strong. Loss #3… …a cherished connection between my cofounder and another long term client equaled zero opportunities. Friendship and business speak different languages. Sometimes. These moments taught me: - No partnership is guaranteed, no matter how long-standing - Good work isn't enough – you must continuously evolve and communicate value - The strongest personal bonds don't automatically translate to business successes Reminders that setbacks don't diminish us. They dimension us. They strip away complacency. And reveal what truly matters. They're not failures. Just ‘speed bumps,’ along the way. Feedback is fire, if you embrace it. Fuel for future success. What challenged you this year? I'd love to hear your story.
