He pointed to the devastating impact of cancer, with 520,000 cancer deaths in sub-Saharan Africa in 2020, and pneumonia, which causes 750,000 child deaths annually. The region's severe shortage of clinicians—Ghana has only 34 radiologists—intensifies these challenges. 🌍✨ My Experience at IMFEST 2024! This year's Immersive Technology Festival (Imfest) has been a game-changer for me and TWiST Beauty. Moderated by Akweley Abena Okai, the festival was not only about technology, we touched into designing the future and building a sustainable ecosystem that merges innovation with real-world solutions to tackle global challenges, including climate change. One standout moment for me was the insightful session by Vanessa O'Hara Aidoo, where she dived into "Designing the Future – Innovations in UX/UI Design." As a tech-driven beauty platform, this talk was particularly relevant to our mission at TWiST Beauty. It reinforced the importance of user-centered design in providing seamless, intuitive experiences for our app users. It’s crucial as we aim to revolutionize the beauty industry in Ghana and beyond, making it more accessible for women entrepreneurs.
