Here's the hardest thing about enterprise sales: Being patient... As a founder, I'm always trying to find any way to grow Hyperbound faster, build faster, sell faster—whatever it takes to reach the goal. So when our sales coach, ☠️ Belal Batrawy, sat me down today, I wasn’t prepared for this reality check: "Sai, I know you want to close this deal, but this deal won’t close until the timing is right. You have to be okay with telling the buyer they're not ready yet." That stung...💥...this was a hard pill for me to swallow. Slow it down?? My first reaction? "Why are they meeting us now if they’re not going to start the POC until 4 months from now?!" But Belal laid it out plainly: "Because buyers don’t know how to buy. It’s on you to guide them and call them out when they're being 'unreasonable' or 'optimistic'. Sometimes, you have to tell them what they don’t want to hear and be the skeptic." I took a deep breath. It took me a second to accept reality. But, it was a gut punch I needed 🥊. Will this change my urgency to close deals? No Will this stop me from sending regular follow-ups? No Will this stop me from bringing in other decision makers & multi-threading? No But this was a mindset shift that reminded me to trust the process. It reminded me of something LeBron James always says about playing basketball: "I want my legacy to be that all my teammates and the people that played against me know I play the game the right way, and I competed at a high level" Sales is no different, all you can control is "playing the game the right way". You win some, you lose some, you can only do what's in your control. And that’s what makes sales so brutal—yet so rewarding and beautiful.

It’s been a minute (okay, a month) since I’ve posted. Here’s what we've been up to: ✨ Two mid-cycle renewals closed — a huge testament to our relentless focus on CX and AM. 🛠 Scaling up engineering — putting the right structures in place to grow faster than ever. 📈 On track to exceed our revenue targets — driven by those renewals and the team’s incredible grit. 🎅 Putting together the most fun holiday themed challenge ever! 🚀 Launching our biggest feature yet — can’t wait to share this publicly. Huge shoutout to the team making this all possible, and for supporting me recently. It's times like these where I'm so grateful for Sriharsha Guduguntla, Luca Rondanini, Jonathan Tran, Mia Kosoglow, Eugene Reuka, Rory D., Thiago Costa and our countless investors, advisors, and supporters! 2025 is going to be way bigger than 2024, and we’re just getting started. Yesterday, we closed the most important deal in Hyperbound's history 💥 Here's why this isn't just another "win" for us—it's personal. Our very first AND flagship customer, Nivoda—the world’s largest B2B Diamond Marketplace—made a bold decision: ✨ Renewed early (mid-cycle) with us. ✨ Quadrupled their original investment. ✨ Doubled the number of seats. Not only is this the 2nd-largest deal we’ve ever closed, but it's also proof that the vision we started with wasn't just a dream—it's happening. But let's rewind for a second. Here’s why this deal means the world to us: We launched Hyperbound in January of this year, 2024. That’s right—just 11 months ago. We didn't have a blueprint or a playbook. AI roleplay wasn't even a thing. Atul and I were noticing an underlying trend across our thousands of user interviews. We believed sales teams needed a better way to train, to adapt, and to win in a world where team dynamics were changing, sales motions were evolving, phone was making a comeback, and relationship-based selling was becoming ever-so-important. And when we launched our MVP, from day one, we were told: 👉🏽 "This is interesting, but who's going to use it?" 👉🏽 "You're creating a category? That's hard." 👉🏽 "AI roleplay? Never heard of it." But we kept going. Because we knew that if we built something that truly worked—something that solved a real pain—people would get it. And now, we're seeing it happen. In 11 months, we've: 💥 Invented a new category and are becoming the "Kleenex" of AI roleplay. 💡 Made customer retention our #1 KPI (over vanity metrics like ARR). 🚀 Educated sales leaders on why AI roleplay isn't just a nice-to-have—it's something every sales team will have in the near future 👊🏽 Seen competitors and copycats pop up—and even shut down. We've stayed ahead by sticking to our north star: building the highest-quality product and staying laser focused on our strengths. But this isn't just about us. This deal with Nivoda is validation of their success. It’s about a partner who's seen so much value from Hyperbound that they've chosen to bet on us again—and even bigger this time. The moment I heard "We want to renew early," I felt something I'll never forget: The feeling that all the late nights, hard decisions, and moments of doubt were worth it. Now, when we go out into the field, it's no longer, "What is Hyperbound?" Now, it’s “Of course, I've heard of Hyperbound. My reps always rave about it. I've seen your videos.” We’re just getting started, but this milestone isn't just about growth—it's about belief. Belief in our customers. And belief in our team.
