You can join the fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). ALS is a progressive, devastating neurological disease, but together, we can accelerate progress. In our latest paper, my colleagues Sri Ramulu Pullagura, PhD, Shubhangi Lal and I highlight how YOU can make an impact by joining the Accelerating Medicines Partnership® in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (AMP® ALS), a groundbreaking initiative, which unites the NIH, FDA, FNIH, academia, industry, NPOs and patient advocates. Here’s how you can engage: - Researchers & Institutions: Share your findings, join collaborative studies, and help uncover the biomarkers and targets that could change lives. - Industry Partners: Team up with AMP ALS to pool resources and expertise for developing more effective treatments and cures. - NPOs: Spread the word, recruit participants, team up with AMP ALS. - People with Lived Experience (PWLE) & Caregivers: Share your experiences to inform research. Join a clinical consortium shaping the future of ALS care through a natural history study of over 2,000 participants. - Funding Agencies & Philanthropists: Invest in hope—your support drives innovation and sustains this initiative. I want to thank Dan Doctoroff, Stephanie Melillo Fradette, and Amelie Gubitz, who are providing leadership as co-chairs of the initiative, and all our current partners. Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can make progress faster. Find your role in this mission and let’s accelerate progress.
