This gives us the chance to honor the pivotal contributions of the late U.S. Rep. Stating that “justice delayed is justice denied,” on Wednesday, a full en banc panel of 17 judges on the federal Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals rejected the latest attempt by ExxonMobil to avoid responsibility for violating a federal environmental law. The court affirmed a 2021 federal court ruling that found ExxonMobil committed more than 16,000 violations of the federal Clean Air Act at its Baytown, Texas, refinery and chemical plant complex https://lnkd.in/g-J26xPt

We teamed up with Air Alliance Houston for a cleanup of Sylvan Beach in La Porte. Unfortunately our volunteers found thousands of tiny plastic pellets on the beach. These pellets are a major source of microplastics in the ocean, threatening wildlife and our health. We need the plastics companies to stop spilling or dumping these pellets into our waters!

Texas now generates 7,016% more solar power and roughly 200% more wind power than it did in 2014, according to Environment Texas. This increase means the state can power an additional 10,297,840 households yearly with clean energy.
