We know this idea might be uncomfortable for some––that is, hearing “education” and “market” together evokes the privatization of schools, or the commodification of a public good. This is not what we advocate. But the basic elements of a market––supply, demand, and the enabling conditions that influence both––exist in education. This is what we begin to explore in this paper. We are excited to share our new white paper, “Market-Informed Impact® in Education,” where we delve into the “electric cars of education”––or, the good ideas that don’t scale. Of course, #education is, and always should be, a public good. But it is also a market that represents over a trillion dollars in annual spending in the United States alone. And that market impacts academic outcomes for millions of #students. Could these dollars go further, or do more good more quickly for more kids?  We don’t claim to have all the answers.
