Attracting and retaining talent will be a significant challenge in 2025 as labor market uncertainty persists. As the economy improves, DHR's John M. Staines, predicts, "more jobs will become available, and employees will be willing to take more risks. Company leaders will then especially need to develop purposeful strategies to engage top talent.” In addition, the best employers will focus on reducing workplace chaos and providing comprehensive well-being support. Staines emphasizes the importance of wellness and mental health, stating, "Wellness and mental health have become instrumental in attracting and retaining the new workforce, and employee burnout has become a central focus of that."
