What an outstanding TEAM!🌟 Jana and Mike Brosin recently joined Kathleen LaValle to talk with Paige McCoy Smith on WFAA highlighting the Crest Cadillac team’s unwavering commitment to improving the lives of children and families in North Texas. Throughout the year, this generous team goes above and beyond to support those in need. For the holidays, they came together to collect toys, clothing, and essential items for families who open their hearts and homes to children unable to safely remain at home. It's a great time to get your team committed and involved for 2025! #CrestCadillac #communityinvolvment #manywaystohelp

Dallas CASA recruits, trains and supervises community volunteers to advocate for abused children in foster care.
About us
Last year, nearly 1,000 child victims were removed from their homes because of abuse or neglect and placed into the protective care of the state. These children need powerful voices to speak for them. Dallas CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is a non-profit organization that recruits, trains and supervises volunteers who serve as voices for abused children in court. Judges appoint Dallas CASA volunteers to advocate for the best interests of children who have been abused or neglected, helping these children have safe, permanent homes as quickly as possible. Dallas CASA exists so that abused and neglected children in protective care have the chance to become successful adults. With the help of caring advocates, the cycle of abuse and neglect can be broken. Dallas CASA has a strong and steady history demonstrating its ability to grow the number of children it serves. In 2020, Dallas CASA served 3,374 children. The program also recruited and trained 472 new volunteer advocates during the year, increasing the number of active CASA volunteer advocates to more than 1,500. Since the inception of CASA advocacy, Dallas volunteers have helped thousands of children find safe, permanent homes. Today, more than 68,000 advocates serve in nearly 1,000 state and local program offices nationwide. Dallas CASA is a charter member of the National Court Appointed Special Advocates Association and of Texas CASA, We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit social service agency governed by a board of directors. 🌟 Gifts for 450 Children! 🌟 A huge truck was needed to deliver all the gifts donated by the amazing team at Goldman Sachs. It was packed to the brim with presents, each one chosen with the hope of making the holidays a little brighter for children and youth living in foster care. Every child deserves to feel cared for and remembered, especially during the holidays, Dallas CASA is beyond grateful to Goldman Sachs and everyone who contributed. Thank you! A special shoutout to the three fabulous organizers who double-and triple-checked to ensure that every child on their list received a gift. #GoldmanSachs #holidaygiving #manywaystohelp #dallascasayoungprofessionals

Every 9 minutes. According to the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network, that's how often a new case of child sexual abuse is documented. Every nine minutes. Children are the victims of sexual abuse in every community, most often by people they know and trust, the people in their own families. Sharon Grigsby writes an important piece speaking with local professionals and highlighting research that overwhelming points to the home as the source of the perpetrator most likely to harm a child. Dallas CASA CEO Kathleen LaValle shares how each of us can help to better protect all children in our communities. Read more in The Dallas Morning News. https://lnkd.in/gRGzrgCX
