CPC x MOIA Collab CPC Nan Shan Older Adult Center launched a new collaboration with the NYC Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs (MOIA) to assist our community members with getting a IDNYC card. Many of our seniors expressed interest in applying for a card but found the process too difficult. Through our collaboration, MOIA provides linguistically accessible support alongside a member of the CPC team and on-site at our Queens Community Center. Anchored in the heart of downtown Flushing, the CPC Queens Community Center serves tens of thousands of residents across the borough annually. From early childcare and after school programs to English literacy classes and older adult programming, our holistic services ensure community members not only survive but thrive. #AdvancingOurCommUNITY #CPCQueens #communitypartnerships #IDNYC

Earlier this week, the CPC Policy team attended the National Immigration Inclusion Conference in Houston, Texas. They were joined by two of our Advocacy Leaders Fellows. 🗣️ Carlyn Cowen, Chief Policy and Public Affairs Officer, spoke on a panel hosted by Protecting Immigrant Families. They shared info on threats to healthcare access and insights on how to support immigrant New Yorkers. ℹ️ A project of the National Partnership for New Americans (NPNA), the National Immigrant Inclusion Conference (NIIC) is the nation’s largest gathering of the entire sector working on behalf of our country’s immigrants and refugees and the annual gathering of NPNA’s network. #NIIC2024
