Construction Management Mastery
About us
Construction is an industry that has the ability to allow us to make a relatively great income with relatively little education experience. This hands-on work provides us with the education that we need to be able to grow through the different paths offered in the construction industry. Construction also encapsulates the opportunity to be at the highest levels of required education in order to design, engineer & build. The problem in lies with how we approach this Workforce. We have 5 generations of people - working from a multitude of ethnic, racial, cultural, genders, levels of education, diverse backgrounds & life experiences. BUT WE ALL HAVE ONE THING IN COMMON - WE ARE HUMAN and learning & implementing Behavioral Modifications into the learning platform gives us the ability to be able to have an understanding and empathy for those who we will manage in the future. We can appreciate & understand the importance AND necessity of the rights of passage - better known to us in Construction as Order of Precedence. Construction Management Online, we are able to understand and learn how people interact with each other in a way that offers knowledge and education at a faster pace than if we immersed in the work ourselves. Construction Management Online is not meant to replace a construction management college certification or degree. It is a supplemental professional development program that identifies the nuances of construction that we don’t get to learn in school. Learning how to drink from a fire hose is an art, understanding Lessons Learned and the Means & Methods of how we move through the construction process are things that you don’t learn unless you experience it directly. Through Construction Management Online we are able to reveal learning opportunities with students while they are working on a project in REAL TIME......EDUCATION IN MOTION, mentoring through the challenges that arise on a daily basis on the construction project. Challenges in life are undeniable, but they don't have to be insurmountable. By leaning on my support system, planning ahead, and being honest about my limitations, I’ve found ways to keep moving forward. It’s not easy to balance aging parents, college-bound kids, and a demanding career, but it’s also an opportunity to grow. I’ve learned to be more compassionate—with others and with myself. I’ve developed a deeper appreciation for the people in my life and the work that I do. If you’re in a similar position, know that you’re not alone. The balancing act is hard, but with the right tools and mindset, you can find your way through it. Remember, even in the chaos, there’s room for growth, connection, and success. #constructionmanagement #constructioneducation #construction #challenges #constructiontraining Cory ThomasFisk - CM Training Expert 🚧

I gotta admit, I wasn’t looking forward to coming into work today. Republican’s gloating over their overwhelming win, Democrat’s identifying excuses of why they didn’t. Continued divisiveness at a time where people hurl criticism and hurtful name calling in the same sentence that they demand unity. In construction management—and really, in any workplace—keeping a strong, collaborative team is always a goal, but it’s often easier said than done. When you add the complexity of diverse viewpoints, political tensions, and personal convictions, the challenge to lead with empathy and direction becomes even more critical. My journey through managing these dynamics has been a work in progress, shaped by my experiences, my evolving beliefs, and my commitment to finding common ground, even when it feels elusive and in this time, it will probably be one of the most challenging things I’ve every had to do. It's a good thing I have Construction Education Curriculum like that of Construction Management Online to help mentor me through these tough times! #construction #constructioneducation #constructionmanagement #politics #teamwork #teambuilding Cory ThomasFisk - CM Training Expert 🚧

Ok – I’m trying, I really am, but sometimes a guy just wants to put his head down, work his 8 hours, and go home. I don’t need touchy, feely, pour-my-heart-out conversations, and I certainly don’t want to be carrying around the burden of other people’s problems. I just don’t understand why we are all bending over backward for this new generation of workers—I just don’t get them. It’s like they’re made of glass. You know, I grew up in a world where work wasn’t something you cried about—it was what made you a man, or woman, for that matter. But these days? It feels like I’m navigating a minefield of thin skin and excuses, and quite frankly, it’s frustrating as hell. If one more person tells me I just have to be more open and vulnerable, I’m going to lose my $%&#@! .....Tell Us how you "really feel" CM Charlie but more importantly, what are you going to do about it! #constructioneducation #construction #constructionindustry #constructioncareer #softskills #constructionmanagement
