Clean Energy Ventures is thrilled to have Decarbonization Partners (a BlackRock - Temasek partnership) as the lead investor in ConnectDER's $35M capital raise with new investor MassMutual Ventures participating alongside existing investment from CEV and Energy Innovation Capital, LG Technology Ventures, ZOMA Capital, Avista, and Evergy Ventures. We see a massive opportunity for the company to enable a wide range of DER (PV, EV, storage, heat pumps) adoption across more than 60 million households in the US, especially those older households with the need to upgrade 100 amp circuits. ConnectDER's next product, IslandDER, will enable homeowners to disconnect from the grid giving them full control over their DERs during a power outage. Lummus’s investment, catalyzed by its scale-up, heat transfer, modularization expertise, and market knowledge, will accelerate the commercialization of our Symbion™ Electrolyzer technology. This will help advance sustainable hydrogen production by tackling high capital costs and electricity needs. Great news this week from the US Department of Energy! The DOE's Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains is providing $20M in grants to support CleanFiber's expansion. We plan to utilize these funds to expand production of our high performance cellulose insulation, which is made from recycled cardboard boxes, while supporting local economies and protecting our environment. https://lnkd.in/eZSnMeFh
