Happy New Year from all of us at CBTeam! 🎉✨ As we welcome 2025, it's the perfect time to focus on meaningful resolutions and prioritize your mental health. If managing your anxiety or OCD is one of your goals this year, we're here to support you every step of the way with expert care and evidence-based treatments. Rather than making a broad goal such as "work less in 2025," consider making SMART goals. SMART goals take a vague, overwhelming goal and turn it into something that is more realistic, targeted, and motivating. SMART goals are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. For example: Specific: I will reduce my average weekly working hours from 50 to 40 by the end of 2025. Measurable: Track weekly work hours using a time management app to ensure the reduction. Achievable: Achieve this by delegating tasks, automating repetitive work, and setting clearer boundaries with clients or colleagues. Relevant: Reducing work hours will improve my work-life balance, allowing more time for personal growth and family. Time-bound: Implement changes by February 2025 and achieve the goal by December 31, 2025. Take the first step toward a brighter, healthier future in 2025. Contact us today to get started on your journey to wellness. Let's make this year one of growth, progress, and empowerment together. 🧠💪 https://cbteam.org/ #HappyNewYear #CBTeam #OCDTreatment #AnxietySupport #NewYearResolutions

Serving the community since 2017, CBTeam have always selected staff who embody what it means to be a scientist-practitioner. Our providers value the importance of having both a deep knowledge of the clinical literature and an ability to deliver these treatments in a way that matches the needs of any client in the therapy room. Check out a summary of some of Dr. Adam Reid's clinical research published a few years ago in the International OCD Foundation newsletter. His research found that not all OCD specialists are the same; providers, even those who self report as specialists, greatly underutilize exposure therapy often due to limited training and/or logistical barriers. https://lnkd.in/eBb9-3cf Based shared experience training with some of the most well recognized OCD researchers, conducting treatment research like Reid's research described above, and working in leading OCD clinics (e.g., McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School), CBTeam is designed to ensure the highest level of treatment for anxiety and OCD is provided. This high-quality care is evident in how treatment is planned to maximize exposure opportunities, how CBTeam's facilities were custom designed to provide real-world opportunities to practice exposures (e.g., full service kitchen, showers, classroom/office space), and the endless in-person teamwork and supervision to make sure the best care is upheld. We welcome all child and adult referrals! Reach out to info@cbteam.org to get started today! https://cbteam.org/ #MentalHealthMatters #OCDRecovery #CBTeam #CompassionateCare

Happy Holidays to everyone this season! Gift-giving has deep evolutionary roots, serving as a way to strengthen bonds with those we love. Research by Yang et al. (2018) reveals that gift-givers often choose items they believe will spark instant joy rather than meet long-term needs. While this might not always align perfectly with the recipient's practical desires, it reflects the giver's intent to create moments of happiness and connection. For those who feel overwhelmed by the uncertainty of gift-giving—especially those with anxiety—it's important to remember that the holidays are about love, time together, and understanding the intention behind the gesture. A gift is ultimately a symbol of care and an effort to strengthen bonds. Wishing you all a season filled with meaningful connections and cherished moments! 🎁🍪 https://lnkd.in/euxcpwfr #HappyHolidays #GiftGiving

A Special Thanks to Nathan Morin! In this season of gratefulness, CBTeam would like to take a moment to shine a spotlight on Nathan Morin, our Operations Manager and Intake Coordinator. Working directly with our C.E.O. Kim Smith, Nathan is the person behind the scenes overseeing the "back end" of all clinical operations at CBTeam. This includes supporting the clinical work of 23 providers and managing 9 distinct clinical programs. Building on his years of administration experience in public schools, Nathan is at his best when tasked with dissecting and solving complex systems issues. CBTeam would be far less able to serve the greater Boston area without his hard work behind the scenes. Beyond being a favorite among staff to pull into exposures or feature in website photos, Nathan is a calming and warm presence at CBTeam. He speaks clearly and wisely on emotionally challenging topics and brings a steady sense of support to everyone he works with. Nathan is always excited to chat about the joys of life—from his latest great meal to something fascinating he just learned, or even the best episode of Golden Girls. Thank you, Nathan, for everything you do to make CBTeam such a special place for both our staff and the community we serve! https://lnkd.in/eQ3Yyi-V #MentalHealthMatters #OCDRecovery #CBTeam #CompassionateCare

CBTeam I.O.P Cohort Announcement!! As we head into the winter holidays, we have noticed children and adolescents are struggling with multiple factors: academic burnout, worsening OCD and anxiety, seasonal mood challenges, overwhelming family dynamics, social isolation, etc. December is often an effective time of year to increase therapeutic support to give youth an emotional boost heading into the new year. Our Intensive Outpatient Program (I.O.P.) for children and adolescents, called Courage Academy, remains a flexible and fun route to connect youth with others who share similar anxieties while receiving a high amount of Exposure and Response Prevention in a short timeframe. Our current cohort of elementary aged kids are doing a two week I.O.P to target emetophobia symptoms that have been making school and social life challenging during the Fall. This I.O.P. will give them hours of individual and group exposure therapy in just a few weeks (sometimes just one!), leading to faster relief and improved functioning heading into the holidays and the return to school in January! We have cohorts of elementary, middle and high school aged youth coming together for the second half of December and early January. Reach out to Dr. Moselle Campbell at courageouskids@cbteam.org for a free consultation! Happy Holidays from the Courage Academy Team at CBTeam! https://lnkd.in/dVzS8yWh

If a child or adolescent isn't directly asking for help, how do adults know when it's time to seek therapy or medication? Getting youth the emotional help they need in a timely manner not only lowers emotional suffering but it also reduces the chances that youth develop unwanted secondary outcomes to mental health challenges. These secondary outcomes include negative core beliefs about themselves among other depression symptoms, impairment in social or academic functioning, or ineffective coping skills such as substance use, lying, avoiding, acting out, etc. In this video, Drs. Adam Reid and Theresa LaPuma touch on common signs that a youth needs a professional evaluation. An evaluation like those provided at CBTeam can help inform families about potential effective short-term interventions that can have long-term benefits. Special thanks to the team at Personalized Educational Solution for a fantastic interview and discussion about the intersection between tutoring and psychological interventions. https://lnkd.in/deSCHanb #MentalHealthMatters #OCDRecovery #CBTeam #CompassionateCare

Since opening our Intensive Outpatient Program (I.O.P) in 2019, almost 6 years ago, we have been honored to help over 140 youth and adults reduce their anxiety and OCD symptoms during this short-term, daily treatment protocol. We are very proud of our outcomes: 75% of youth or adults in our IOP reported a meaningful reduction in primary symptoms being targeted, including OCD and general anxiety, associated with self-reported improved quality of life and functioning. Our clients showed better outcomes than benchmark clinical research studies despite a higher level of symptom severity upon admission to our I.O.P. than in these studies. We are even more proud of the feedback we have received from our clients and community. Check out this feedback about the power of our team approach (following research, most I.O.P. cases meet with multiple providers at CBTeam): "Even though each therapist has their own strategies and specialties, the CBTeam have one goal, which is to help clients face and challenge their OCD/anxiety battles and to effectively respond to intrusive thoughts and anxiety in a helpful way. Working with a team exposes you to more strategies and perspectives from all sorts of light, and all are valuable in their own way. That's what makes it great. It is a team who truly cares." -Former Adult I.O.P. Client CBTeam's I.O.P. has immediate openings for youth and adults. Please contact Dr. Keith Klein at kpklein@cbteam.org for adult IOP and Dr. Moselle Campbell at mcampbell@cbteam.org for child I.O.P. (Courage Academy) referrals.
