It's time for our September (v4.5) changelog! 🍂 Take a look at our new features and improvements from the past month. 📞 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 This is a massive step in our stride towards building scheduling for everyone. Until today, anyone booking with Cal.com needed an email address. As of today, you can allow people to book you just using their phone number; if you’re on a Team or Orgs plan, you can combine this with SMS booking notifications. To enable this, go to your event type and add ‘Phone’ as one of the booking questions in advanced settings, make it required, and then remove the email field. 📱𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗔𝗽𝗽: 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄 + 𝗖𝗮𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺 Synthflow, an AI phone call agent, now integrates with Cal.com to schedule appointments directly into live calendars with instant notifications. This integration allows AI agents to seamlessly book and manage appointments, providing clients with confirmation emails, location details, and more—perfect for users who prefer phone calls or need accessible booking options. 📊 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 Our Insights feature on our Teams plan has often struggled under the weight of data. Previously, we had to run multiple searches to get all the insights we needed. To simplify things, we’ve tackled the core issue of filtering by user and team IDs. By making adjustments behind the scenes, we only need to apply one filter, and the system can quickly pull the correct information for both users and teams. This change helps the database work more efficiently, speeding up the process and making everything run more smoothly ⚡️. 🤔 Curious to see more? 🔈Our latest (4.4) change log is here! As Olympians had been striving for gold, our engineers have been battling bugs and racing against time to deliver new features and fixes. Here’s the roundup of what’s new since the past month. 🏷️ Custom Attributes for your team members We have an incredibly exciting upcoming feature to share for organizations and anyone building marketplaces. If you are an organization admin, you can now create custom attributes that you can assign to your team members. You’ll be able to define things like a person’s role, department, location, seniority level or anything you need. These will soon be utilised for things like routing forms to send people within a certain location to the correct salesperson or setting round-robin weightings based on seniority. ❌ Reasons behind a meeting rejection This is one of those from the “you asked, we delivered” bucket of features. From now on, when your event type is set to “Requires confirmation”, and you choose to reject a booking request we provide you with an option to provide a reason behind it. Often events can be rejected as the timing is not right. This can help maintain a positive relationship, leaving the door open for future collaborations or simply showing a sign of respect. It also opens a dialogue for potential adjustments that could make the event acceptable. 🎥 Tip of the month: Use Cal.video for a huddle "Cal Video" is our in-house, free, video conferencing platform powered by Daily.co. You can also use Cal Video as an instant huddle tool, similar to how you’d use it on Slack or any other communication platform. To create an instant meeting, go to your browser, type “cal.video”, and hit enter. Now, the URL has been updated to a unique meeting ID. Share the full URL with your teammate (or client) and meet within seconds! 🍴 Hungry for more updates? Continue reading here: go.cal.com/v-4-4 or check our GitHub release log: go.cal.com/releases

We have revamped the app installation flow so that it’s much clearer what teams you are installing an app on, and in the same flow, you can apply the app to specific event types and configure it. 📆 Add rolling days to future booking limits as your calendar fills up We just added an option to “Always show X days of availability into the future”, so if you set your limit to 5 days into the future, people will always see 5 days of availability, even if a day or two get fully booked. 🔎 Hungry for more updates?
