We've added a new configuration option that lets you mask all sandboxed views in iOS replays. It uses the `maskAllSandboxedViews` option. And, when we say 'we've added', we really mean that Ioannis added it. Sandboxed views include views like the user's photo library picker, or contact picker. They are views that are sandboxed by the system, so that the host app doesn't have access to them. Masking them gives users extra privacy and prevents sensitive content being accidentally captured.

Product analytics, session replay, feature flags, A/B testing, data warehouse, CDP, surveys. PostHog does that.
About us
At PostHog, we're working to increase the number of successful products in the world. Until now, tools for building products have been fragmented. Product analytics, heatmaps, session recording, web analytics, feature flags, and A/B testing are all helpful, but no one wants to buy, send data to, and integrate multiple products. PostHog offers these tools (and more) in an integrated, open source platform which can be hosted in either the US or EU. Both versions are SOC2 certified, GDPR-ready, and HIPAA compliant. We started PostHog during Y Combinator's W20 cohort and had the most successful B2B software launch on Hacker News since 2012 - with a product that was just 4 weeks old. With over 100,000 users, we're default alive, growing 97% through word of mouth, and we are in the top 0.01% most popular repos on GitHub.

We've added comparisons to previous periods on (almost) all insights in web analytics, which, uh, makes it easier to compare current data to previous periods. This means you can compare period-to-period trends for all sorts of metrics, such as traffic to a specific page, or the trend of a specific referral channel or UTM parameter.
-
You can now set alerts on Trend insights. This means you'll be alerted when a series, such as sign-ups or errors, goes above or below specific thresholds, or changes by a percentage. Alerts are currently exclusively available over email and will only work for Trends insights, but we'll soon ship an improvement that adds support for Funnels. You can set alerts to be checked hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly. This is one of our most requested features, so thanks Anirudh for making it happen.

I often get the question, "Why is PostHog better than [X vendor]?" It's the wrong question. It's better than X, Y, Z, P, D, & Q vendors because you don't have to cobble all those together. https://posthog.com/why

We recently released mobile session replay for iOS, Android, and React Native, and we've now added Flutter support. Like our other mobile SDKs, session replay for Flutter is free while in beta. There are two modes: wireframe (the default) and screenshot. See the mobile session replay docs for more on how it works: https://lnkd.in/eUGQyvuV

At many companies, product management looks something like this: 1. Get a list of features the founders or sales team wants. 2. Tell the engineering team the bare minimum they need to know. 3. Get them to build as many of these features as possible. This sucks for everyone. You end up with a maze of half-baked features, and it’s just plain slow. PMs become the bottleneck and gatekeeper for all decisions, and engineers feel frustrated. In the latest issue of Product for Engineers, 🦔 james hawkins shares how we've redefined the PM and engineer relationship. Read the full post: https://lnkd.in/erCCcksM
