As it turns out, Santa has plans tonight and needs his sleigh back ... he swung by our #RaynhamMA branch to pick it up this morning, but not before we were able to hand out a few more holiday surprises! 🎅🛷❄️ Ron Hill, VP & Mortgage Officer, met with RIDE 22—an organization that raises awareness for veteran-suicide prevention and gives back to veterans in the local community—to deliver the funds we raised at our Community Paper Shred and eWaste Recycling Day back in October. It is because of you, our generous community members, that we were able to do this! Also pictured are Bluestone team members with the toys collected for Marine Toys for Tots Foundation at our #EastBridgewaterMA branch, as well as the pickup of gifts gathered at our Raynham branch for Society of St. Vincent de Paul - Middleboro. Deb Gangon, AVP & West Center Branch Manager and Reiko McNeil, AVP & #WestBridgewaterMA Branch Manager passed the keys to Santa's sleigh over to Kit Pitts, AVP & #EastBridgewaterMA Branch Manager, who stopped by St. Vincent de Paul East Bridgewater Food Pantry with the first donation. She then handed the keys to Brody Still, Universal Banker Trainee, to deliver a donation to Mansfield, MA Food Pantry: Our Daily Bread! Brody delivered the check and passed the sleigh keys to Alan Benjamin, AVP & #NortonMA / #PlainvilleMA Branch Manager and Carie Bailey, SVP & Premier Banking Officer--the team visited Franklin Food Pantry, Inc. before handing the keys to Dave Smith, AVP & #BridgewaterMA / Scotland Boulevard Branch Manager. David took a trip to Bridgewater Food Pantry before tossing the keys to Don Parsons, VP & Mortgage Consultant, who delivered our donation to #MarshfieldMA Food Pantry before lending the sleigh to Joyce Ferreira, AVP & #RaynhamMA / #TauntonMA Branch Manager and Nicholas Gervasi, Marketing Specialist. The pair flew to Our Daily Bread, Taunton Food and Resource Center to deliver the next holiday donation. Finally, (for now--stay tuned for another post!) Joyce and Nick handed the keys off to Alexandria Taylor, AVP & #PembrokeMA Branch Manager for a trip to Pembroke Soup Connection - Firehouse Pantry. Though food insecurity is an unfortunate reality in our local neighborhoods, there are ways that we can all pitch in to help those struggling to put food on the table through donations and volunteerism! West Bridgewater Branch Manager, Reiko McNeil, and West Center Branch Manager, Deborah Gagnon, borrowed Santa's sleigh to kick off the first of our 2024 food pantry holiday check deliveries--stop #1: West Bridgewater Food Pantry! A little bit about West Bridgewater Food Pantry: this wonderful organization opened its doors in 1988 and has been making a difference in our community for over 30 years. They are an all-volunteer organization made up of former teachers, small business owners, and residents of West Bridgewater, and the best part is, none of their food goes to waste. When the organization is fortunate enough, they deliver all excess food to the West Bridgewater Senior Center and MainSpring House, the latter of which is a local shelter in #BrocktonMA. They also partner with The Greater Boston Food Bank, which has allowed them to become a parent pantry to Bridgewater State University! This ensures that no BSU student goes hungry amidst the rising cost of food and tuition. Yesterday, we continued one of our employees' favorite traditions of volunteering at Marine Toys for Tots Foundation with Mansfield Rotary Club, packaging Christmas gifts to be delivered to children this holiday season.
