We are thrilled to support and recognize Black Hills Area Habitat for Humanity ReStore, helping to build homes and hope for families in need. Our ornament can be seen at the NYSE for their 101st Tree Lighting on Dec. 5th and throughout the holiday season. Together, we're lighting the way to brighter futures in the communities we serve. • Earlier this month, we celebrated a decade-long partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation by hosting a tree dedication event. Together, we’ve provided nearly 15,000 free trees to our customers through the Energy Saving Trees program. This partnership has allowed us to make a significant impact, avoiding 32.5 million pounds of carbon emissions, filtering 98.32 million gallons of stormwater and saving approximately 9.2 million kWh of energy. A well-placed tree not only enhances our planet, it blocks summer sun and provides shelter from winter winds — and can help reduce energy costs by up to 20% for homeowners. Our mission of improving life with energy means we must be ready to make tomorrow even better than today. 🌍💚 #BlackHillsEnergy #PositiveEnergy

  • We hosted a Community Agency Lunch and Learn at our Pueblo Service Center on Oct. 1. Almost 20 attendees from different community agencies joined us for a conversation about Energy Assistance, Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy programs and resources that help their organizations and our customers. Insight and feedback from the attendees will help us to better meet the needs of our community. This was a great partnership and networking opportunity, and we look forward to growing the concept in the future.
