Remote Stand Boarding Ramps and Bridges

About us

Aviramp is an independent, entrepreneurial business led by CEO Graham Corfield, providing an innovative product changing aviation ground handling and delivering a new industry standard. The Aviramp was developed and grew advocacy from all corners of the world; from airlines, airports, ground handling companies and PRM providers. Our customers are based globally around the UK, Europe, USA, Japan, Australia, Scandinavia and the Middle East. A UK based airline facilitated trials and tests to ensure the concept could deliver against its core criteria: to improve SAFETY, to achieve greater OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY, and lastly, to create a better and more inclusive PASSENGER EXPERIENCE for everyone. Although there are many types of GSE equipment currently on the market, Aviramp has delivered a ‘world first’ with its range of patented, height adjustable aircraft passenger boarding ramps and portable jet bridges. The ramp gradients of 7 - 8º remain in line with traditional terminal connecting air bridges, allowing easy boarding for passengers either with assitance or alone. The benefits are the same as terminal building finger style jet bridges, remote stands and walk out stands. We believe that Aviramp could soon become the industry standard, producing innovative and practical solutions to real aviation ground handling issues.

  • Soaring through 2024 ✈️ An emotional moment came in June when we had the huge privilege of being invited to BAE Systems  in Warton to help pay tribute to some of the remarkable survivors of D-Day as they flew off to France for the official commemoration events to mark the 80th anniversary of the Allied landings.    Five veterans flew out of the base for the events in northern France – and were given a guard of honour as they boarded their plane.    We were honoured to provide the ramp which helped the anniversary party board their plane and to play our small part in helping the day go so smoothly. To share some time with these incredible men was something we will never forget.    Then in July, we struck gold with our latest order – to supply special boarding ramps to help athletes arriving at Charles de Gaulle International Airport in France for the Paralympic Games.    There could be no better demonstration of the value of our ramps – and the way they are bringing real improvements to how people get off and on planes – than being used by athletes arriving for the games.

  • Soaring through 2024 ✈️    In May, we clinched £1.2million of new orders with US-based Frontier Airlines.     Frontier has been using our ramps for some time and can see the advantages that safe, step-free and solar-powered ramps bring over traditional steps and has now invested nearly £2million with Aviramp in the last two years.    And we featured on Gibraltar’s GBC News after Aviramps were introduced at Gibraltar International Airport.     Gibraltar Minister for Tourism and Equality, the Hon Christian Santos MP, said: “People visiting Gibraltar will now benefit from this equipment, which will add to their experience and show Gibraltar’s commitment to be accessible for all.”

  • Soaring through 2024 ✈️ It’s been a fantastic year for us so in the run-up to 2025, we thought we'd look back on just some of the highlights of 2024. Back in April, we shared that we had had our best-ever start to the year after securing a record number of new orders from the Philippines, Minneapolis, Saudi Arabia, Mauritius, Italy, Japan, South Africa and here at home in the UK.    And in the same month, our CEO Graham Corfield shared his story in The Sunday Times talking to the paper about how the business started – with a chance call from an associate of Libyan dictator Colonel Gaddafi’s – some of the challenges along the way over the last 14 years and some of the highlights. 👇

After being lashed by Storm Darragh this weekend, there’s a fair chance a few of you will be thinking about heading off to the Caribbean or South America in search of some winter sun in the next few months.    If you do find yourselves heading that way, keep an eye out for some new Aviramps when you touch down.    We’ve just done a fantastic deal with US giant Delta Air Lines for three of our Continental ramps, and an International and a Regional model.    It means that during the course of the year, we will have supplied Delta with 10 Continentals, four Regionals and one International which will be used across the Caribbean and the north of South America.      It’s part of a move to upgrade the infrastructure at some of the region’s airports and means that when you do touch down, not only do you get the lovely weather but a fabulous passenger experience too.    And we’ve got you covered if you stay a bit closer to home when you’re looking for the sun.    We’ve also done deals with Swissport Algeria for two Continentals for Algiers Airport and are supplying two of our Lite ramps for Adelte for use at Palma Airport.    So it doesn’t matter where in the world you’re travelling – Aviramp will be on hand to help get your trip off to the best possible start.
