2024 has been a transformative year for Avantus – from closing on a majority equity investment by KKR to advancing one of the largest development portfolios of solar and energy storage in the United States. We see this new chapter as a critical opportunity to redefine our vision and mission to better reflect the company Avantus is today, tomorrow and beyond. Our vision is to create a prosperous future powered by affordable clean energy. Our mission is to achieve this by responsibly developing and building clean energy solutions that reliably meet our country’s growing energy demand. Within this, we see five principles that shape our company’s ethos: 🌿 Protect the climate by delivering energy that is CLEAN ⚡ Solar with integrated energy storage is RELIABLE 💰 Continuously improve our offerings to deliver energy that is AFFORDABLE 👷 We are RESPONSIBLE, focused on sustainability and shared value creation. 🏙 Clean energy drives progress and builds strong, PROSPEROUS communities In 2024, #TeamAvantus made great strides in advancing our mission. Together, we: - Completed the majority acquisition by KKR, with KKR and our existing investor EIG now the sole equity investors in Avantus. - We also closed a $522 million development facility to accelerate deployment of our 30 GW solar and 94 GWh storage pipeline - Expanded our presence in the Southwest and secured PPAs with Arizona Public Service - APS - Fostered job creation and economic growth with approx. 3 GW of solar and storage projects we developed under construction across the West and Texas - soon delivering clean, reliable energy to millions The future promises rapid growth and innovation. Meeting the rising demand for energy will require a significant expansion of clean energy infrastructure. Onshore renewables represent the fastest, cheapest path forward to drive economic growth and support the proliferation of artificial intelligence and electrification. Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables projects U.S. electricity demand to rise up to 15% in some regions by 2029. Clean energy is poised to power the next wave of progress! As we close out the year, I’m deeply grateful to be part of this dynamic industry and to lead such an exceptional team. Together, we are shaping a cleaner, more prosperous future for all.
