During Atlanta Ballet’s magical production of The Nutcracker, we hosted an incredible Adult Dance Social that brought together our amazing community of dance lovers. It was such a joy to see our adult students connecting, sharing their love of movement, and celebrating ballet together. Amelia Murren and Kelly Tonina Cooper helped make the evening unforgettable as they hosted the event and brought so much energy and warmth to the experience. A huge thank-you to everyone who came out and made this event so special. At just 8 years old, Lithonia native Camille Jackson took her first steps into the magical world of ballet as a snow fairy in The Nutcracker with Atlanta Ballet. A decade later, this talented dancer is captivating audiences as a member of Atlanta Ballet 2, performing in this year’s production of The Nutcracker. Camille’s journey, nurtured by Atlanta Ballet and an artistic family, reflects the transformative power of dance. For her, performing this holiday classic is more than just tradition—it’s a celebration of history, legacy, and creativity, especially as a Black ballet dancer in a timeless art form.
