We are designers, problem solvers and strategists. We create identities and build brands for people, businesses, and places. Ashton Design is a multidisciplinary design studio founded in 1985. We have an international reputation for design leadership in the practice of experience design for settings ranging from sports arenas and school campuses to public spaces, residential and retail centers. Our solutions are tailored to each project’s unique challenges and opportunities. We work with corporations, business owners, developers, non-profits, sports teams, colleges and secondary schools, retail planners, associations and city governments. We partner with a variety of consultants ranging from architects and landscape designers, to urban planners, to help shape the experience of places and spaces in a collaborative spirit. We apply the same basic principle to each project, big or small: we bring together a team of highly creative minds, listen to the client, pay attention to detail, and tell their story through identity development, print and digital communications and visual environments.

Lexington Market has been a Baltimore institution for over 200 years. Our expansion introduced a new building that pays homage to the original through its shape and architectural styling, blending modern functionality with a deep respect for its storied past. An incredible park and project with purpose. It was an honor to work with The Choice Program at UMBC to create a display for their mosaic. Our only goal was to elevate their beautiful work—it's satisfying to see it in place, where it can be admired by all.
Today, we're proud to dedicate Elijah's Park! 🌳🎉 Many partners were involved in bringing this living memorial to Congressman Elijah Cummings to life. In partnership with Brandon M. Scott, Baltimore City Recreation & Parks, Comptroller Bill Henry, and the Baltimore Peninsula Partnership, we were grateful for the opportunity to thank the numerous community members who helped design, build and beautify Elijah's Park. This 28,000-square-foot public park features: 🎨 A beautiful new mural by local artists Jessie & Katey 🛝 A playground designed by Danish firm MONSTRUM ❤️ A Black Lives Matter-inspired mosaic by The Choice Program at UMBC As Mayor Brandon Scott said, "It is our hope that this park reminds residents and visitors alike of one of Baltimore’s greatest public servants and honors his legacy for years to come. #BaltimoreDevelopment #ElijahsPark PI.KL Studio Claudia Jolin Chenire Harrell-Carter MAG Partners LP

The Sanctuary is seeing fantastic progress thanks to our incredible General Contractor (RCI) who's made significant strides in just a few short months. MBK Rental Living, entrusted with the renovation, is meticulously preserving the Timber School's history while adding contemporary amenities and 218 new apartments. It's a testament to the school's legacy and our commitment to making positive contributions in the communities where we develop.
