Mike Arroyo recently represented AECOM Tishman at the New York City Hispanic Chamber Of Commerce's 19th Annual Hispanic Business Award Banquet & Scholarship Award Ceremony. The event celebrated the accomplishments of the Hispanic business community while supporting the future of education. Over the past 19 years, the NYCHCC has awarded more than $190,000 in scholarships to students in need of financial assistance, helping them pursue higher education at accredited universities in the New York City area. AECOM Tishman was honored to be part of the groundbreaking ceremony for the County Yard and Delco Lead Storage and Inspection Facility Project in New Brunswick. NJ TRANSIT CEO Kevin Corbett, Federal Transit Administration Region 2 Administrator Michael Culotta, NJ State Senator Patrick Diegnan, and other local and state officials gathered to mark the milestone. As part of NJ TRANSIT’s Resilience Program, this project will create a safe-haven storage site for rail cars during extreme weather events, along with a new service and inspection facility to ensure the rapid resumption of service following such events. #AECOMTishman #NJTRANSIT #Resilience #Infrastructure #Community #Transportation

Inspiring the Next Generation of Builders! This week, ACE Mentor Program of Greater NY students visited 255 East 39th Street, a new 20-story residential development under construction by AECOM Tishman. During their visit, students gained firsthand insights into the vital roles and responsibilities of a construction manager and toured the site to observe the progress of various trades at different stages. They learned how coordination across multiple trades ensures a cohesive, safe, and successful project. Eariler this week, work at The New Terminal One at JFK paused briefly for a safety stand down, reaffirming that the well-being of our workforce comes first. The event featured remarks from several industry leaders. Gary LaBarbera, President of the Building and Construction Trades Council of Greater New York, emphasized the importance of protecting workers on every jobsite. Patrick White, Director of Institutional Sales at Ullico Inc., shared insights on creating safer workplaces. Palmina Whelan, CCM, FCMAA, MCIOB, NAC , highlighted the role safety plays in delivering a project of this magnitude. Eric D. Reid, P.E., reiterated AECOM Tishman’s commitment to safety and well-being. Richard Mendelson, Regional Administrator of OSHA, underscored the importance of compliance and proactive measures in safeguarding workers. This Thanksgiving, AECOM Tishman partnered with NY Common Pantry in the Bronx to help support our neighbors in need. Together, we provided 602 families with turkey and food packages!  Volunteering with NY Common Pantry is always a rewarding experience, and this event was a meaningful reminder of the importance of community and coming together to make a difference.
