The Academy is proud to honor five trailblazers who have transformed the film industry and inspired generations of filmmakers and movie fans at tonight’s 15th Governors Awards: - Richard Curtis - Quincy Jones - Juliet Taylor - Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli The late music producer and composer Quincy Jones and casting director Juliet Taylor will receive Honorary Awards, filmmaker and philanthropist Richard Curtis will be presented with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, and producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli will be awarded the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award. The awards, which are all Oscar statuettes, were voted on by the Academy’s Board of Governors this past June.
