One way to integrate sustainability into our processes is by combining lean manufacturing principles with material reuse strategies. Lean manufacturing focuses on minimizing waste and optimizing efficiency, which directly supports sustainability by reducing resource consumption. For example, in my experience with water recycling in chemical surface treatments, we've been able to significantly cut water usage and reduce operational costs, all while maintaining high product quality. This approach not only conserves resources but also creates a more efficient, cost-effective production cycle.

1. I feel the first step should be to clearly define the desired end product and establish a standard process by developing a detailed and well-thought-out plan. 2. Focusing on reducing waste, optimizing utility consumption and switching to reusable or recyclable materials is vital. 3. Cutting costs by minimizing packaging, recycling leftover materials and working with eco-friendly suppliers. 4. Designing durable products that last longer or can be repaired easily and involving employees in finding ways to save resources. These steps can not only save money but also help the environment and improve the company's reputation.

Additionally, I look for ways to recycle and reuse materials, whether by setting up recycling programs or using recycled materials in production. These simple steps help improve sustainability while also reducing expenses.

It's always the good practice to incorporate the sustainability in to the cost effective manufacturing process but see the possibility as per current standard process. Try to optimise the process, inventory control, waste management and have a mind set small change gives the benefits at longer time.as per me always have continuous improvement mindset.

The employees will then see the value in the measures/changes and prioritize it's sustainability.
