Existem alguns caminhos quando os cronogramas de projeto de design precisam ser priorizados. Na minha experiência em uma empresa em que trabalhei, era analisado o custo benefício, qual projeto tem mais impacto financeiro. O que precisamos ter em mente, é que o projeto não surgiu do nada, havia um cronograma, atividades desempenhadas, uma equipe tocando o projeto e, supervisão destas pequenas entregas até entregar a solução final. Se passou a existir conflitos, precisa priorizar recursos, analisar as causas e incluir na lista de lições aprendidas, para ajustes e eliminação dos conflitos existentes. Avisar as partes interessadas quais foram os caminhos redefinidos.

La priorización entre el diseño y la producción debe ser definida por los stakeholders que tienen a su cargo la aprobación de los requisitos del producto, del tiempo y presupuesto para la creación del producto. Es importante considerar también el impacto del producto sobre los objetivos estratégicos de la organización. No es recomendable iniciar la producción si el diseño del producto no cumple con las necesidades mínimas, ni tampoco se debe de tratar de alcanzar la perfección en el primer release del producto. Realizar una priorización inadecuada, podría generar perdidas finacieras a la organización.
