I start by engaging in active listening to understand each team member's perspective, making sure everyone feels heard without judgment. Encouraging open dialogue helps to identify the root causes of conflicts, allowing for honest conversations. By focusing on common goals and shared values, I help align individual efforts toward the team's collective success. This approach not only resolves conflicts but also strengthens collaboration. Using open ended questions, helps in soliciting information on how their different styles can be merged to promote a healthy work flow. It is important to apply constructive guidance when steering the team towards non confrontational ways of resolving conflict. Individuals may feel that their beliefs and past practices are the best. Encourage them to find ways in which their work styles, can compliment each other, rather than clash. Remind team members that conflict breeds counter productivity, yet team work makes dream work possible.
