It is not always desirable to keep the production intact knowing that there has been a gap/ compromise. It ought to be decided based on the type of product, nature of gap/deviation and the potential effect it may have on the end user. Best foot forward in such a situation is to track the affected lot/batch, recheck the reported gaps on the product and rectify. Quality should never be comprised for the sake of delivery or cost, Compromising on quality would lead to major dissatisfaction to customer causing market share to drop and knocking you out of the competition. There are two ways: 1 As a part of contingency check the produced part 100% and confirm that it should fit for assembly. There should not be any affect on the end product. 2. As a part of mitigate Check the shortfalls in quality control Check for the calibrated system and educate the controllers. If produce part ok to fit for assembly; implement/correct the design changes. May be this will save some unwanted process cost.

You can produce a lot of bad product if you don't address quality. If the product goes out the door with the quality issue not being addressed, you can lose a lot of customers. If the defect is found before the product leaves the shop, then in-house repairs cost many times more than the time it takes to address and fix the concern at the defect point. Get the quality right and production improvements will follow.

Compromising quality has a negative impact on quality KPIs. To ensure that production is stays on track I will use problem solving tools such as control charts and 5WHY analysis which will deep dive into the root cause of the non conformity. The control chart will help me to detect non conforming product and then find the root cause. I will also advise my team member who comprising quality control to learn more on how to fight variation in the processes and start practicing using the tools. It is very important to understand TPM which will improve quality control and that will keep production on track

I will never tolerate team members who violate or compromise quality control. One of the success criteria is that we deliver goods on time with guaranteed quality. There is no point in us delivering the goods on time but the product quality is compromised.

-I will stop the production and ask my team member to validate produced items, segregate to ensure 100% quality outputs along with Quality department team members. -Impliment ICA (interim containment action) to ensure quality and PDCA. -I will give warning to team member to ensure quality control and I will take diciplinery action and motivate him not to repeat his mistakes. -To implement PCA (Permanent corrective action) I will direct my team to implement Error proofing to ensure the output is as per accepted quality norms -I will conduct CFT meeting with team and direct to Team to ensure the quality and no compromise on quality.
