There are multiple reasons why a team could be overwhelmed with work. It could be seasonal, or it could be due to some of the team members leaving, resulting in a few continuing to pull the same work load, or it could be due to lack of sufficient staff etc. Whatever the reason might be we know that trend could be detrimental in the long run. It could wear off the team and result in performance drops over time. It is important that we help such employees to manage their time to aligning a few priorities which could help them focus on the important and urgent task first and then focus on the rest in accordance to the need. That is just a short term solution only. In the long run, it is essential to identify the root cause and resolve it.
