Template items that can be used as a basis to start and/or utilizing import tools can help provide consistency. 3rd party systems such as CADLink to transfer data between the CAD system and ERP is another great feature. If issues are identified, discussing the issue with the team explaining how this impacts others helps to show that these items matter. To have flexibility, the multi-department implementation team should remain active having regular meetings to review and discuss issues and possible process improvements. This team should test those items in a test environment to prove them out and then update any affected procedure and roll out training when proven.

In my experience, a standardized and dynamic core, along with a comprehensive user manual and thorough validation, would contribute to a smoother user experience. Users would benefit from carefully following the user manual. Moreover, meticulous requirements gathering would ensure completeness. We should provide all configurable features and thoroughly document their user flows.
