Any project before it's build is gone through many design phases. While resource planning and timelines for the same is already taken into consideration acknowledging the various design revisions due to various reasons. If everything is well planned and resources are well motivated and highly skilled at the job they do makes easy for the leads to manage these obstructions within desired time. It's very important that the quality of the work should be maintained as per the standards of the local authority as well as the clients standards. It makes construction process smooth and efficient.

As Structural loads( static and dynamic ) acting on the body cannot be compromised in design . Design revisions decision need to be done on the basis of worst conditions and check the factor of safety against all the required parameters with standard code available for the same .

I will never try to balance speed and quality. For the original design, and for design changes I will estimate how long it will take, then add 20 or 30 % and that’s when I tell the Client it will be ready. It is just not worth trying to please the Client by agreeing to an unrealistic timeline, thereby compromising safety, compromising my reputation, and increasing my vulnerable to liability for a collapse. At the end of the day the Client is also exposed to massive liability, and probably won’t thank me. And if there is a collapse the lawyers will accept a timeline of years to get multiple experts studying what I was pushed into completing in a few weeks.

Structural Integrity will get compromised if the major structural elements which support the structure are being revised. Generally the design revision involves changing of secondary and tertiary elements which do not directly affect the structural integrity. However if there is a case when there is major structural revision then due deligence is required in further analysis and design so that structure is safe and sound.
