Good problem to have. - Set up a very clear communication with the shop floor team, including materials team. - Divide the targets into shift and then hourly targets. The targets should be realistic and achievable. - If the targets are unrealistic and cannot be met due to capacity constraints , communicate it back to customers in advance at the time of commitment. - Set up system so that every hour Plan Vs Actual is measured, monitored, reviewed. - If the hourly target is achieved, celebrate, appreciate. - Pull the production, do not push. Teams can do it and every team love challenges as long as those are realistic.
