My experience is mostly cross organization automatic tools. From my point of view one of the most important things is for the end user to understand the manual steps the automation is doing and saving for him. That way I believe it is much easier to understand how to operate such a tool. Furthermore, as the designer of automatic tools, I tend to be available for questions, for easy one's I refer to the guide or to my other team members for them to get experience with my tools and help others as well. For complicated cases I get involved and involve other developers if needed. The key is : Complicated process, easy automatic solution.

First, the reasons and objectives of the changes must be clear to the team so that there is no sabotage or demotivation with the changes. Showing the advantages and benefits that employees will obtain is an encouraging way to motivate. Demonstrate that automation does not do this with the objective of limiting or eliminating employees, but rather to facilitate work and make activities available to more intellectuals. The second step is to demonstrate all the necessary procedures and the very clear reasons for achieving the objectives. Show the need to constantly measure and analyze the results and mitigate failures. When employees understand and participate in the learning curves, knowing the objectives and reasons, everything becomes clear
