One thing I’ve found helpful is assessing how long it’s been since I’ve used a part in my spare inventory. For me, if it’s been a few months, I send it back to be restocked. I have parts I use almost weekly, but the balance in maintaining an efficient inventory, that doesn’t drain cost, is knowing how often I use a particular part and how easily and quickly I can get it, if I do need it.
