My strategy is simple: ask questions. New clients should do 80% of the talking.This is an opportunity to learn everything about them—their organizational structure, financial year, pain points,and more. These insights help you understand their needs and craft tailored solutions. Another effective technique is using real examples and substituting the new clients’ names to capture their attention. They might lose focus during the call, but hearing their names always brings them back.😝For instance,if I’m on a call with Tom (new client) and his colleague Mary, I might say: “If Mary created this tool and Tom, you tried to find it but couldn’t, here’s what you can do...” This approach keeps the conversation relevant, relatable, and engaging.

For me, there isn't any difference between doing it online or in person. The main thing you have to achieve is that your presentation has a clear structure. When I say clear structure, that means that information flow is natural, basically storytelling. So the prospect has to feel like: "Oh I get it now" Also, always try to explain everything in a very simple language, don't use Acronyms. Even when you speak about something that your prospect "should know". Assume that they don't know. For example, during my pitch, I have a slide called: "What is cold sales outreach". So every time I'm explaining that slide, I'm saying: "You probably already know this, but let me just tell you in my own words so that we make sure we're on the same P

This is something what we are learning well since post Covid Scenario and thankfully consumers are also dwelled and accepted the fact that first meeting can be virtual also.
