From my perspective, weekly meetings focused on reviewing processes and emphasizing how one person’s or department’s performance impacts another are very important. It helps individuals visualize themselves as part of a process and understand that as a crucial link in the chain, poor performance on their part could lead to the breakdown of the entire chain.

The opportunity to form a new team is probably the most exciting opportunity for a leader. A few actions readily spring to mind: - Share your "User Manual" (from Rob Coombe). A good way for the 360 to get to know you quickly. It is a reference... and give permission to call-it if they see a contradiction! Role model expected behaviour - Get to know each person. Candid 1:1s preferably f2f, to learn their individual motivations, strengths, ambitions. - Team bonding sessions where the team can get to know each other on personal and professional level - Regular check-ins and stand ups with clear goals / targets - Recognise contributions and those going the extra mile - Feedback is a gift: critical feedback in 1:1s only.

Along with all these points , the one point which I would like to keep in mind is ""Always to greet everyone with a real smile not keeping anything in mind" which helps to implement and achieve all the other points which we know.

To ensure every team member feels included and valued, it’s important to foster open communication and genuinely listen to everyone’s ideas. Encouraging fun interactions and team-building activities helps build rapport, strengthen connections, and allows us to get to know each other better. By recognizing individual strengths and promoting collaboration through regular check-ins, we can create a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone feels appreciated and empowered.

I spend the first months with a new team listening as deeply as a I can and then feeding back what I'm hearing from the entire group. Bilateral engagement, discussions, and hearing people's concerns on what they want to change and what they don't want to change is incredibly important, and helps people feel included. The truth is that people should not simply feel included, as a leader you should actively be ensuring that you are including them, in dialogue and discussion and decisions. Be transparent. Be honest. Buy lunch and don't be a jerk. I also personally believe strongly in the power of BBQ to unite teams; fish tacos are also a good choice.

1) Include - When you are leading a newly formed team, ensure all your people are included in each and every plan and make them feel belonged. 2) Listen - Actively listen to their concerns and queries and provide required resources and feedback to help them perform better. 3) Engage - Engage with them personally and professionally to build the confidence through regular catch ups. 4 ) Reward - Recognising their efforts and hard work consistently irrespective of result will make them feel valued to bring their best selves.

If you are leading a newly formed team, congratulations - roll up your sleeves and get ready. Building a team requres your time and effort. You must understand team roles and dynamics; be patient, and ready to coach or delegate as necessary. Get to know each member of your team individually, understand what motivates them, their strengths and weaknesses. Know how to bring out the best in them. Treat each person the same. Tell them how important their work is and how it contributes to team goals. Give them the access, information and resources they need to perform optimally. Give them credit for their work, and celebrate their progress, no matter how small. Create opportunities for them to grow. That way they will feel valued and included.

Build a NEWTEAM with 1. Mutually trust respect & integrity within the team and leader 2. Accept & celebrate the uniqueness of each team member 3. Build a leadership quality in each of the team members so that they can take a risk for innovation 4. Know your own strength & weakness & your team member strength and weakness to delegate the work effectivity 5. Know the need, desire & style of yourself & your team member 6. Give credit to your team for the success and also give appreciation to the team member in front of the whole team as well as take d responsibility on yourself 4 failure 7.Give suggestions 4 improve in d performance with d right kind of empathy personally in 1 2 1 session 8. Have COULD mindset rather than SHOULD mindset
