During early days of my career, I attended a client management program which I have implemented over and over again and ensured success , even if there is a delay, we are unaffected . Stages are as follows. 1) setting expectations about the stages of the project with timeline. 2) when it comes to timeline, always under commit so that it looks as if you have over delivered. 3) Always keep client in loop of each stage’s progress, proactively without them having to ask for the update. 4) keep highlighting the probabilities of possible glitches and your ready solution and the time gaps. 5) Lastly, apologise for any gaps or mistakes and remind client of the human factor.

Always confirm appointments multiple times with clients through email,call and maybe calendar invites. Also make you of a shared calendar for you and your client for instance,Google calendar. Lastly set reminders,two days before the appointment,hours before,an hour before and minutes before.These multiple reminders will keep you in check.
