I faced many times when team moral goes down due to various reason in project. To my experience, creating a supportive work environment where team work will be given weightage in place of indidiual contribition, boast moral of team. Its responsibility of Leads, Manager to play this role. Recognition to employee with very low moral also helps.

Start meetings with wins. "Hey, our website is 30% faster now - great job!" Kill boring meetings. If it can be an email, make it an email. Show you care about life stuff. "How was your weekend?" matters more than you think. Break big, scary projects into small, doable pieces. Nothing kills mood like feeling stuck. Give credit like candy. "Sarah's code made this possible!" "Tom's idea saved us time!" Make it okay to say "I'm struggling." Sometimes people just need to hear "Yeah, this is tough." Most important: Happy teams do better work. Take time to build team spirit. Remember: Small acts of kindness = Big boost in team mood!
