At work we were executing a launch of a complex medical device. A few things that stuck out to me about a smooth launch: -Ensure that the full gambit of product testing has been completed, including limit sample testing, to ensure that manufacturing proceeds smoothly. -Work closely with component suppliers to confirm that the full launch quantity can be supplied in advance of manufacturing. -Appropriate inspections must be determined and implemented before production. This will catch issues before they propagate. -Always add a buffer for predicted timelines. Manufacturing issues will always occur.
